The younger ones can’t go through what we’ve been through – Shatta Wale 'begs' President Mahama

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has made an appeal to President John Dramani Mahama, calling for reforms in the country’s entertainment industry.

In his Facebook post, Shatta Wale urged the new president to prioritize creating a professional structure for music and media, similar to how ministers are appointed to transform other sectors.

“The entertainment industry needs that change. The younger ones coming can’t go through what some of us have been through,” he wrote. “I wish the next generations see this music business as a job and not just fun.”
