Bawumia and his wife storm Mecca to pray for Ghana
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana’s former Vice President and NPP’s 2024 flagbearer, has stormed Mecca to perform Umrah, praying for God's guidance on Ghana.
Joined by his wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia, and close friends, this pilgrimage highlights gratitude and a deep plea for divine guidance.
Reflecting on his journey, Dr. Bawumia shared:
“Together with Hajia Samira Bawumia and some friends, I arrived in Mecca yesterday to perform Umrah (Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca).
This is to thank the Almighty Allah for His grace. We also prayed for guidance and protection for us and for our nation, Ghana.”
Umrah, known as the “lesser pilgrimage,” offers Muslims a time of renewal, gratitude, and prayer outside the annual Hajj season.
