Former Campaign Communications Manager for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dennis Miracles, has accused President Mahama and the NDC of destroying Ghana’s forests and water bodies through illegal mining. 

In a social media post, he described the situation as "life-threatening" and criticized the government for failing to fulfill its promises to fight galamsey.  

"Our water bodies are becoming thick Milo drinks without Nido under 90 days," he wrote, calling the NDC the "real galamsey kingpins" and warning of worse destruction by 2028 if action is not taken.
